Using Lavender

Some useful information about lavender

There is no doubt that man's relationship with lavender is ancient, the earliest recorded traces being found in Tutankhamen's 3000 year old tomb.

In England we know that the Romans were growing and using lavender 2000 years ago. We may now live in a modern world but lavender uses are still wide, varied and relevant today. It can be used around the home, on the body and the mind.

True lavender, Lavandula angustifolia, is the most versatile and therapeutic lavender oil and is one of the few essential oils that can be used directly on the skin without dilution in a carrier oil.

Lavandin, Lavandula x intermedia is also a super essential oil but must not be put undiluted onto the skin.
